Ken Sockwell, Worship Leader
New Life Chapel offers several ministry opportunities for those who are called and gifted in areas of worship.
They include:
Worship Team Vocalist
Worship Team Instrumentalist
Worship Choir – Participates once a month and on special occasions
Worship Leadership
Special Music
Multimedia Ministry – Sound, lighting, and video-based ministries (contact Joy Boggs)
A Worship team schedule is published monthly. Sunday teams rehearse most Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 7:00 a.m. The Wednesday night teams rehearse at 5:45 p.m. before Wednesday night services.
The minimum requirements for the worship team are as follows:
~ Be a born again believer and an active member of New Life Chapel.
~ Be willing to commit to the worship team, which includes attending rehearsals and participating as scheduled.
~ Possess musicianship that compliments the style and direction of the worship ministry at New Life Chapel, which includes being self-sufficient in one’s instrument and/or vocal skills.
~ Instrumentalists must read chord charts.
~ Vocalists are chosen from the worship choir as needed.
~ Possess a spiritual understanding of worship.
~ Participate in New Life Chapel’s daily devotional readings and journaling.
~ Complete and return a Worship Application and the Character Guidelines, to the Worship Leader.
~ Pass an audition with the Worship Leader. Auditions are scheduled as needed.
~ Have reliable transportation AND internet access.
